This is a clutch problem. adjustment is all in the petal…test your clutch by starting out…while doing 15 20 at most put the car in fourth gear….FLOOR it if all you get is rpms go straight to a clutch shop…i guarntee you its in your clutch area….the clutch should be grabbing close to the floor..another words you should let off the clutch and it should jurk forward if you almost to the top of the petal try adjusting it down….if you cant go down then you NEED A NEW CLUTCH…dont fight it…a new clutch is aboout a 100k maintence thing should cost 500 to have it all replaced…

I have a 2000 gt-s and had that problem about a year ago. My mechanics were baffled and I spent a bunch of money replacing things, never replaced the clutch, so I don’t know if that would have made any difference. But a friend adjusted my throttle sensor (may be called another technical term?) and it didn’t cost me a penny for my car to run good again. He didn’t go into the details, but someone had mentioned it to me before, and I never looked into it b/c I didn’t understand it. Could be something you could mention before you drop $500.
