I am asking this question for my husband who is working on a car. It is a 1991 Toyota Camry, the car is sputtering and the acceleration is poor. He has changed the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, he thinks it may be the ignition coil, but not sure. Can anyone help?

After diagnosis, they said the emissions is good, and the mechanics changed the fuel filter, but the light is still on, and stalls while driving, i have to hit the gas hard sometimes for it to pick up normall acceleration, would changing the fuel pump completely solve the problem,

All was fine till I took it on a 180 mile drive this weekend. Towards the end of the drive, it was losing acceleration. There have been muffler problems. We are on a shoestring budget, so I need a frugal suggestion. I think it might be something as simple as a clogged fuel filter, but was wondering if you have any other suggestions to help troubleshoot. Thanx ahead of time.

I have a 1994 Toyota 4runner 3.0 V6 4WD Manual Transmission. I have changed the Distributor cap, rotor, coil, spark plug wires, air filter and fuel filter. All vacuum lines appear to be in the right locations and I do not notice an intake leak. I cleaned the throttle body and checked the O2 sensor both were ok. I am thinking it could be a fuel injector or possibly a spark plug. any thoughts?
