I predict that in two years time research will show that this was a witch hunt, fueled by greedy lawyers and Americans who don’t know how to drive (sometimes killing themselves and others ). History will show that there wasn’t a damn thing wrong with any of the Toyota vehicles, but the economic damage to Toyota Corp. will take ten years or more to repair. Your thoughts?
I even bolder prediction is within 5 years it will be leaked from a Toyota insider that the "shim" recalls and "floor mat" recalls were a business strategy gone bad. They thought they could shut the US regulators (NITSA) and the general public up, rather than a better business plan which would have been to not do anything and blame the drivers….they opened themselves up to litigation by issuing the recall, which most engineers say does nothing.
Funny how nobody provided any sources, yet you continue to buy into the media sensationalized story, and Larry I race motorcycles, so bring it.
What are your predictions about the Toyota recall thing?

Would you buy a new Toyota Tacoma right now in the middle of all this recall madness?
Author: adminAug 14
Apparently I haven’t been watching the new lately because last night I purchased a 2010 Tacoma. I have to go in Saturday to finish the paperwork up. I just heard all this news today and am freaking out now. I know the tacoma isn’t part of the sticking gas pedal recall only the floor mat one (they fastened the floor mats to the ground so they don’t slide around and are no where near the gas pedal, personally I think they should have been that way in the first place). Anyways the mats are my worry. Even though the Tacoma is not included in this new recall, Toyota vehicles in general are scaring me. I have been doing a lot of research online but they are so dang vague. I do know that its somewhat of a wear and tear thing and that if there is a problem with the newer models they shouldn’t be affected for a while and by then can be replaced when they come up with a solution(apparently in april) What would you all do…back out of it on Saturday or keep it??
The tocoma fit what I needed its not a full size but has 4 doors and enough room inside for big car seats, the long bed for our desert toys, & I wanted a 4×4. I personally would have had no problem going with the nissan frontier but my husband didnt like it. I always thought Toyota had a good reliable rep. and theyre not the first car co. to have dangerous recalls. …I just cant shake this sick feeling in my stomach even with tylenol pms its taking me hours to fall asleep. Im worried they wont take it back.
Toyota Recall- Speeding Ticket?
Author: adminJun 6
With this huge Toyota Recall in recepect to accelorator & floor mat issues I now wonder if my speeding ticket a few months back was due to these issues?
I received a speeding ticket in my Toyota Camry a few months back, and I never speed. I am convinced at the time I received my ticket, there was something wrong with my accelerator.. At that time not knowing of the huge recall, I was under the impression it was my floor mat that was all screwed up and adjusted it by moving the mat around and knocking the accelerator.
I have already paid the fine, but the question I have now is was I really at fault here?
Toyota recall questions…?

I’ve been gone out of country for quite a while and am completely lost on this Toyota recall, I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, 2.7L 4 banger, and a 2007 Toyota FJ with the 4.0 V6. Are either of these vehicles part of the recall? I know that toyota issued a floor mat recall with the Tacoma but mine wasn’t affected..
Also, as of thus, how much has this affected Toyota’s overall sales and how long will it take them to recover?
( My 96 F-250 hasn’t had a recall and its 14 years old..sad sad sad )
I don’t want your idiotic feedback about my Ford. Screw you both. I just want to know about the damn toyota recalls.
Please tell this idiot,That car recalls are car recalls, and are not supposed to be taken lightly!?

This is what he said
"Another answer you’ve received tells you to read about the recall on the Prius. Oh please. A recall about *floor mats*? While that’s certainly something that needs to be dealt with, it’s nothing like a major flaw that should make you stop considering a Prius. (By the way, the recall affects plenty of Toyota models, the Prius is just one.) So you take the driver’s floor mat out, and the car is fine…big deal."
