My toyota misses at low rpms?

1987 toyota pick up with the 2.4 22rec fuel injected 5 speed. My truck is missing at lower rpms upon acceleration or under a load. after 2500 or 3000 rpms, it clears up. Ignition is fine, plenty of spark. I changed the plugs, cap, rotor, wires ect. and i believe its the number 3 cylinder. Any ideas? i believe it could possibly be a fuel injector, but any suggestions?

Probably due to the timing advance stuck due to a loose or broken vacuum hose. Check that then trade it in for a Ford Ranger and you will be much happier.

Sounds like a vacuum problem. You may have a vacuum leak somewhere, mainly from the mod line that goes from the trans to the manifold. If not….then you might have something clogging up your fuel injection.

That doesn’t sound like a vacuum problem (as others suggest) – vacuum leaks are worst at idle when the vacuum is high and the amount of air that is supposed to get in is low. Vacuum leaks typically become insignificant as the throttle is opened.
Ordinarily misfire under load is an ignition problem, most often plugs, but those have been changed. That shifts suspicion to the fuel injector. Fuel injector cleaner may help but I doubt it will. I’d go for it anyway: can’t hurt, might help, cheap and easy.
