Do you think the Toyota recalls and media coverage are part of?

a propaganda movement to rebuild the american car industry?
I mean the US car industry is hobbled to near death. toyota has never had a problem like this in history, China, a known foe of Japan, is now listing problems with toyotas sold there. Does anyone else smell a rat?

Okay, all manufacturers have their problems, toyota’s have never been a "real" japanese product. believe it or not there are in a lot of ways an american product, from the older ones that are still running to the newer ones. Toyota is as blue blooded as a Ford.
Heck even a jaguar is now american so are land rovers everything anymore is american. So don’t try to split this up based on where it was built. the same engineering goes into all of them now a days.
The only good car is a classic car. American Muscle and Italian elegance and that’s it.

I’ve got news for you buddy. Toyota has had lots of serious quality issues but has always managed to down-play them and maintain their "we are the highest quality car" fallacy. The worst part is that the American public bought in 100%. Don’t get me wrong, they build a good car but to say that they have not had problems is simply untrue. As to your conspiracy theory, I’m not buying it although I would not trust China in the least and they will do anything, anywhere, anytime, to achieve their business goals at the expense of anyone, (particularly America). Americans should wake up and simply say, "if it says Made in China on it, I’m not going to buy it". Our companies selling this junk would very quickly figure it out. Are you listening WalMart?

Yes it is political and media hype. If Toyota pulled out of USA, we thought economy was bad in past 2 years wait for this. Obama will have a impeachment hearing.and not being racial, it looks bad for all folks of another race as they got hope when he was elected and being impeached will hurt a lot of people along with other countries as we export from USA too.

I hate to say it, but the Toyotas that are part of this campaign are mostly U.S. built Toyotas. I don’t believe that it is propaganda and every car company has issues- even Toyota. I think that this is a great thing. Toyota makes excellent cars and they have had very few issues by comparison but they’re usually taken care of immediately so most people don’t know. This could work out in Toyota’s favor. They called the recall and they’ve halted production to rectify the problem. How many manufacturers have you heard of that have halted production of their cars to fix a recall? That shows commitment and people see that. It will only boost confidence in the buyer later on. I think that they are handling the problem very well.

Okay folks and all Toyoto lovers. All I wanna know is Toyoto gonna be able to race Toyoto Camry. There use to be a rule that the car had to be actively produced in order to race Nascar. Way back when Dodge had the Super Bee’s one had to be made and sold in order for it to be eligible to race and Monte Carlo had to produce the same kind of car that was being raced in NASCAR at one time. In fact some of them are collectibles now.The race is the 14th and 6 plants are shut down and none being sold. Conspiracy I think someone is watching the Mel Gibson film tooooo Much
