But the smartest thing to do is to just have your software upgraded.... I understand that safety comes first......chances are very very rare that your prius would cause this problem.....only about 2% of prius owners had this problem..... Think about it,

would you rather waste money on purchasing yourself a new car after selling your prius or would you just take 2 hours and take your car to the dealer to have your software upgraded.

Should not have bought a prius. Let me tell you something funny now that you have because my grandpa is a toyota technition. By the time you save your moneys worth from getting the good gas mileage you will have to by a new hybrid battery which will cost more than you saved. Also you have no idea what they have to do to make those hybrid batteries. Terrible terrible terrible for the enviroment and has to be shipped to 4 different places befor its put into the car! All cars have racalls at sometime just not like our horrifac goverment did to Toyota who has best recall record by next lowest is 100% less.at 11% in 20 Years with 24% next at honda.
