It usually hits 3,000ish RPM when I acclerate mid throttle from a stop but my friend who drives a 1999 Toyota Camry usually hits 4,000-5,000 RPMs on acceleration. So how high is best for the engine so I’m not being too aggressive or too soft on the car?

It starts but will not pick up speed because it does not rev when you press the acceleration pedal.What can be the problem and what is the solution?

i own a new innova.its 1 year old and mileage is 15000 kms.all of a sudden it has started to emit thick, smelling black smoke,too evident on acceleration.tried by changing fuel filter besides cleaning the air filter.didnt help.is anything wrong with the catalytic converter??any suggestions?
