I have a 2007 Camry I just bought in December with 35k miles on it…what luck I have as right after they announce a recall. I haven’t experienced any direct problems yet that I’m aware of. But it sure makes me nervous, esp given my car is 3 years old now even though its brand new to me.

I called the dealer, and they said there’s no fix yet for it. I called the Toyota 800 number but they couldn’t take my call due to high call volumes. So what am I supposed to do? Ive read tips on what to do should this pedal thing happen to me on the road, but i’d really like to avoid getting to that point.
‘sell and get a honda’ isn’t advice. I mean its not as simple as that given loans and such. I’m hoping somewhere out there has some real advice…

Its not the exhaust manifold cos i have listened out for that several times.
Also, it doesnt give good acceleration between 50 and 65mph. Its fuel consumption is about 18mpg. Or does it have to do with my plugs? I use the normal single electrode plugs

What do you think the answer to the Toyota recall should be, and can we do better? I think we should buy American, my beloved Saturn dealer out of business and they had the best cars on the road, I’ve owned 5 different Saturn’s, and still have my 08 Vue, and never, never had a problem with them, now that is a good vehicle when you never have problems.
Yes I’ve owned 5, the 96 I gave to my daughter and it’s still on the road running great at over 100,000 miles, bought a Vue, which I gave to another child and it’s still out their, bought the small Saturn used and was a great car but too small, now back with the Vue, also had a 92 Saturn that another daughter drove and she sold it and it’s still out their, no problems with these simply made vehicles, the just keep on ticking.

I was looking on getting a 2007 Toyota Camry LE,
I read a bunch load of personal reviews and opinions about
the car, and it seems like that particular year has some
problems concerning transmission and acceleration.
Most people do not recommend the car.

Has anyone ever had any experience with these kinds of problems
with the 2007 model?
